East Side Of 2nd Rock The Ville 2025

East Side Of 2nd Rock The Ville

East Side of 2nd took the stage at Rock The Ville 2025 in Albertville, SK, and instantly proved that last year’s show was only the beginning. From the moment Aiden Edwards stepped up to the mic, it was clear this band had levelled up—tight grooves, soaring vocals, and an energy that had the crowd out of their seats before the opening chord even rang out.

1. A Fired-Up Return
After their breakout performance in 2024, expectations were high—and East Side of 2nd didn’t disappoint. They kicked things off with “Splash of Morgan,” but this time it felt bigger, bolder. Every lick and riff was precise, every beat driving forward like a freight train. The harmonica-led bridge in “Oh Baby” had the audience swaying in unison, and the sing-along chorus of “That’s What I Like About You” had even the most casual festival-goers belting out lyrics.

2. Proof They’re Saskatchewan’s Next Big Thing
What really stood out was the band’s cohesion. Logan Edwards and Aiden traded vocal lines seamlessly, while Kace and Blake Callaghan locked in on guitar and bass, creating a wall of sound that filled every corner of the festival grounds. Evan Ace’s drumming was both thunderous and nuanced—dropping into a lockstep groove one moment, then exploding into fills that punctuated each song perfectly. You could feel the crowd recognize: this wasn’t just a fun set, it was a headline-worthy performance.

3. Drawing the Crowd In
Midway through their set, East Side of 2nd dropped into an acoustic interlude—a brief, intimate moment that showcased Aiden’s soulful vocals and Logan’s melodic harp work. But then came the build-up, and the roar of the crowd when the full band crashed back in was deafening. It wasn’t just a performance; it was a conversation between band and audience, with every cheer and fist pump feeding the energy on stage.

4. A Grand Finale to Remember
Just when you thought they’d given everything they had, they topped it with a show-stopping stunt. As the final chorus of PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC rang out, Logan Edwards hoisted Blake Callaghan onto his shoulders, carrying him center stage while Blake belted out the last chorus. The crowd erupted—phones in the air, cameras flashing, and an eruption of applause and cheers that seemed to last minutes. It was the kind of moment that cements a band’s reputation—and one that will be replayed in social feeds across Saskatchewan.

5. What’s Next for East Side of 2nd?
If Rock The Ville 2025 was any indicator, East Side of 2nd is only just beginning. With festival season in full swing and a string of dates lined up through the summer, they’re poised to keep building momentum. Whether it’s more headline slots or opening for bigger touring acts, this band has proven they’ve got the talent, the stagecraft, and the sheer drive to make waves in the Canadian music scene.

Rock The Ville 2025 may have been a showcase for multiple artists, but for East Side of 2nd, it was a declaration: they’re here, they’re hungry, and they’re ready to stake their claim as Saskatchewan’s next up-and-coming rock powerhouse. Keep your eyes—and your playlists—locked on this band, because they’re just getting started.
