There’s nothing quite like playing music with the sound of the waves in the background and the summer breeze rolling through the trees. This August, we had the honor of performing at the 10th anniversary of the Waskesiu Lakeside Music Festival—a weekend that was more than just a concert, it was a celebration of community, music, and the beauty of northern Saskatchewan.

From the moment we hit the stage, the energy in the crowd was unreal. Families, campers, and longtime festival-goers filled the lakeside park, all there for one reason—live music that brings people together. Looking out and seeing kids dancing, parents singing along, and friends swaying shoulder to shoulder reminded us why we started this journey in the first place.

One of the coolest parts of the weekend was seeing our name on the same lineup as Bombargo. They’ve been huge inspirations for us—not just for their music, but for the way they’ve carried Saskatchewan’s sound across Canada and beyond. Sharing a festival bill with artists we’ve looked up to makes the hard work feel worth it and shows us what’s possible if we keep chasing this dream.

The festival has built an incredible reputation over the past decade, drawing in both local talent and established artists. To share that lineup with so many amazing performers was humbling. We couldn’t help but think about all the volunteers and organizers who have kept this tradition alive year after year—people whose hard work allows bands like us to have these unforgettable moments.

Highlights for us? Hearing the cheers echo across the lake after our originals, seeing folks pick up merch after the set, and connecting with so many new fans who told us they can’t wait to see us again. Those are the memories that keep us pushing forward.

As we wrapped up and walked off stage, we felt grateful—grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a landmark event in Saskatchewan’s music scene and grateful for every single person who came out to support.
