The Saskatchewan Band Bringing Rock and Roll Back for Gen Z

East Side of 2nd isn’t your average up-and-coming group — we’re one of Saskatchewan’s hardest-working, most entertaining young bands, and we’re on a mission to bring rock and roll energy back to the Gen Z era.

Rock and Roll Is Alive in Saskatchewan

While some say “rock is dead,” we’re proving them wrong every night we hit the stage. Our shows aren’t just about playing music — they’re about creating a wild, unforgettable experience where the crowd becomes part of the performance. From high-energy classics to original songs with old-school soul, our sound bridges generations.

One of the Youngest Touring Bands in Saskatchewan

At a time when most musicians our age are still just jamming in garages, East Side of 2nd is already booking festivals, headlining shows, and opening for established acts across the prairies. Being young gives us an edge: we’ve got the hunger, the drive, and the energy to give every crowd a show they’ll never forget.

Hard Work Meets Entertainment

We pride ourselves on being more than a band — we’re entertainers. From hauling our own gear across the province to designing our own posters and marketing campaigns, we put in the grind behind the scenes and leave everything on stage. Every performance is built on sweat, energy, and connection with the crowd.

The Rise of East Side of 2nd

It’s been just over a year since we formed, but in that time we’ve played everywhere from packed downtown venues to some of Saskatchewan’s biggest summer festivals. We’ve dropped singles like Splash of Morgan and Oh Baby, with more music on the way, and each release is another step in showing that authentic rock and roll still has a place in 2025 and beyond.

Why Gen Z Needs Rock and Roll Again

Gen Z has grown up on streaming and TikTok, but we’re proving that nothing hits harder than a real band on stage, guitars loud, drums pounding, and a crowd moving together. Our fans aren’t just listening — they’re experiencing the raw energy that made rock and roll legendary in the first place.

What’s Next

We’re not slowing down anytime soon. With new music, bigger shows, and a growing fanbase, East Side of 2nd is quickly becoming one of the must-see young bands in Saskatchewan. If you’re looking for a night of music that’s alive, sweaty, and unforgettable, come see us live — and join the movement bringing rock and roll back to the Gen Z era.
