Looking back on 2024, it’s hard to believe how much has happened in such a short amount of time. From playing our first-ever show in Prince Albert to booking a full spring and summer tour for 2025, this year has been nothing short of incredible for East Side of 2nd.
Starting Strong: Our First Shows
It all began in our hometown of Prince Albert. We came out of the gate strong, selling out not one, but two shows back-to-back. The energy and support from our community was unreal, and it set the tone for what would become one wild ride.
Rocking Saskatchewan
From there, we hit the road, taking our music to venues across Saskatchewan. We played everywhere from Mike’s Beach Bar, where the crowd was electric, to the Pine Needle Music Festival, one of the summer’s most memorable highlights.
We even brought the party to the water with boat concerts at Candle Lake—nothing beats jamming under the sun with a backdrop of waves and dancing fans. Our journey also took us to Weyburn, where we connected with new audiences who matched our energy and made every show unforgettable.
Closing the Year with a Bang
As summer turned to fall, we kept the momentum going. We opened for some incredible musicians, an experience that pushed us to new heights as a band. By the end of the year, we were back in Prince Albert, selling out Rock Trout Cafe for an absolutely wild party that felt like the ultimate celebration of everything we’ve achieved.
A Year of Recognition
In just six months, we played 30 shows across Saskatchewan, leaving it all on the stage every time. It’s been amazing to see how much support we’ve gained in such a short time. That hard work paid off in a big way when we were named Prince Albert’s Best of the Best Band of the Year.
To top it off, our lead singer, Aiden Edwards, was nominated for Best Singer—a huge honor that reflects the passion and energy we bring to every performance.
What’s Next?
As we close out this chapter, we’re gearing up for what’s to come. Spring and summer 2025 are shaping up to be even bigger as we plan a tour that will take us to even more cities and festivals. We’re ready to bring the wild energy of East Side of 2nd to new stages and keep building on the amazing foundation we’ve created.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year—whether you came to a show, streamed our music, or cheered us on from afar, you’ve been a huge part of our journey. Here’s to what’s next!
