May Long Weekend set the tone for an unforgettable summer as East Side of 2nd turned up the heat with their Beach Bar Bash doubleheader — bringing rock-and-roll mayhem to two of Saskatchewan’s most iconic party spots: Sunnyside Beach Bar at Emma Lake and Mike’s Beach Bar at Manitou Beach. It wasn’t just a couple of gigs — it was a full-blown movement of music, dancing, and pure energy, delivered with East Side of 2nd’s signature sound and style.

🌊 FRIDAY – SUNNYSIDE BASH AT EMMA LAKE

Friday night kicked off with a wall-to-wall packed show at Sunnyside,  buzzing for that first taste of summer freedom. With drinks flowing, the atmosphere felt electric even before the first note rang out.

As the band launched into the opening track, the crowd surged toward the stage. The sound was tight, crisp, and loud — exactly what fans came for. Hits like Splash of Morgan and Oh Baby , while deeper cuts brought unexpected sing-alongs and hands in the air.

But the night didn’t stop when the set ended. The party kept rolling thanks to East Side of 2nd’s in-house DJ and harmonica wizard, Logan Edwards, who seamlessly took over the decks, blending rock, dance, and beachy summer anthems that kept the bar bouncing until the early hours. The floor never cleared, the lights never dimmed, and the bar stayed full — a true kickoff to summer done right.

🌊 SATURDAY – MIKE’S BEACH BAR AT MANITOU BEACH

Just hours later, the band hit the road for Watrous, Saskatchewan — and Mike’s Beach Bar was ready. This marked East Side of 2nd’s second annual May Long opener at Mike’s, and the crowd came in knowing exactly what to expect: a no-holds-barred night of music, dancing, and wild memories.

The venue was rocking from the start. The band came in hot — lights blasting, fog swirling, and amps turned up. The energy from the crowd was immediate and loud. From cover favorites like Hound Dog and Love Potion No. 9 to originals that are becoming fast fan favorites, the setlist hit every mark. By the second song, the dancefloor was literally shaking.

When the night "ended," it didn’t really end. A big wave of latecomers arrived just as the encore was wrapping — so the band doubled down and ran their biggest songs again, giving the new crowd a show of their own and making sure no one left disappointed.
